Once upon a time I could not get enough of chai (spiced) tea. I consumed it voraciously. This proved to be a mistake as, much like listening to your favourite album on repeat, the enjoyment dulled to the point that I no longer wished to ever see chai again.

This realisation hit me today. But alongside it came a separate one: the world of tea is much bigger than this one variety. I already have a small collection of different teas in my home, and I am now resolving to enjoy each of them more, instead of investing my love in a single variety.

To this end, I just whipped up a quick page extolling the virtues of a good cup of tea.

You can find it here.

Comments, amendments and suggestions welcome!

(written with tongue firmly in cheek if you couldn't tell)

Andy Lockran notes that the BBC iPlayer is finally available for non-Windows users, in a fashion – a Flash version which plays in a browser window. It notably doesn't support downloading of episodes, as the Windows version does, but it's definitely a step in the right direction – and shows that the BBC really are working to provide cross-platform support. Hooray for that. It seems to work quite well. Thanks to all those involved!

Edit: OK, seeking seems knackered. Grr.

Edit': The new flash version that was pushed out on Gutsy today seems to have fixed it!
